Thai Café of Louisville, Kentucky made quite the impression on Jasmine Ashton of Gourmet De Ville who churned our intrigue by saying, “Who knew that a liqueur from Italy and an entree from Thailand would make such a delicious combo?” Ashton, writer of article, “Pistachio and Basil Make Quite the Pair in Kra Prao Talay Dish” relived her visit to Thai Café where she introduced Dumante Verdenoce to Chef Chavantee Snow. Chef Snow, owner and head Chef of Thai Café said of Verdenoce,
“Basil and pistachio go very well together. I enjoyed the sweet, nutty taste of the Dumante and think it goes very well with the Thai food we offer.”
Chef Snow began her Louisville culinary career at Thai Siam and eventually opened her own establishment where she says Pad Thai is her signature dish. Thanks to Ashton’s introduction of Dumante Verdenoce, Snow’s Kra Prao Talay, a seafood medley may just become her next Thai staple. Ashton said of the entrée, “The Kra Prao Talay was flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice to bring out sweetness of the pistachios in the Verdenoce.”
Dumante Verdenoce would like to give a big thanks to Jasmine Ashton for sharing Verdenoce with Thai Café! We can’t wait to try the amazing Kra Prao Talay!
