Tips to creating a delicious soufflé on a budget
Food & spirits blog, Gourmet De Ville whipped up the perfect source for a low cost dessert meant for five-star restaurants. In Gourmet’s recent article, “Gourmet Chocolate Soufflé on a Budget” blogger, Michael Cole gives some helpful tips on how to create the perfect and airy dessert without taking a trip to the bank. Tips from the original Chocolate Pistachio Soufflé recipe include adding in egg whites at room temperature and how much batter to insert into your ramekins.
“This light and fluffy chocolate soufflé can really knock dessert out of the park, as long as you pay attention while whipping up the egg whites…I suggest digging into your dessert with an after dinner artisan liqueur to enhance the sweetness of the chocolate and the warm, nutty flavor of the pistachios.”
Cole was, of course referring to Dumante Verdenoce (linked from the article) when talking about pairing with an after dinner artisan liqueur. Dumante Verdenoce is made with real pistachios and is commonly served in edible dark chocolate cups at tastings like Louisville’s Taste of Derby Festival making it the perfect liqueur to enjoy with this sophisticated soufflé.
